About Compliance Algeria
An independent resource explaining compliance in Algeria, brought to you by Hodemia Consulting.
Our mission
Compliance requirements in Algeria have tightened significantly: successive reforms of Law No. 05-01 on anti-money laundering, new Bank of Algeria rules and growing expectations from foreign partners. There is no shortage of legal texts, but practical guidance remains scarce.
Compliance Algeria was created to fill that gap. Each article starts from a concrete question asked by executives, board members and compliance officers, relies on the regulations in force and offers a method that can be applied straight away.
Five topics
- AML/CFT & KYC: anti-money laundering, customer due diligence, suspicious transaction reporting, beneficial ownership.
- Compliance, ethics & anti-corruption: the compliance function, bribery prevention, conflicts of interest, ethical culture.
- Corporate governance: boards, committees, family-owned and state-owned enterprises.
- Risk & internal control: risk mapping, internal control, audit, business continuity.
- Leadership & executive coaching: ethical leadership, decision-making, change management.
